MISFIT GYM RATS

Rehearsals are well underway for SAS’s newest production Misfit Gym Rats. You may remember that this show was initially planned for last march but we all know how anything planned last March went! Misfits is back with rewrites and an all-new cast hitting the stage on April 16th-17th 2021. Our students from the MICMS have taken on the challenge of doing a full mainstage production this year and it’s sure to be a barrel of laughs.
The misfits are a group of gym-goers who go to the gym for coffee hour. All just want to have a good time get a couple of sets in and chit chat with their friends while “working out.” They are lead by part-owner Wonder Woman. None of them have really ever taken the gym seriously and only use it as another setting to socialize. Things turn south when part-owner Mr.T decides he wants the Misfits out of the gym to make room for more serious clientele like his group the Strength Hill Gang. The owners butt heads when they make a bet to decide who gets full ownership of the gym and gets to pick who the gym is catered to. The one problem? The misfits have to beat strength hill in an athletic competition.
