THE GHOST AND THE TYPEWRITER TICKETS NOW ON SALE
Oliver Townsend is a successful novelist known for his crime novels featuring Sam Malloy, New York’s Finest Homicide Detective. In 1945, Oliver is tired of writing about crime. He decides to take a crack as a romance novelist under a female surname. His editor Patrick Harper is not thrilled about having his number one bestselling author with Harper Publishing changing his writing genre from criminal to romance.
In hopes to inspire him with is new romance venture, Oliver’s sister Norma and her husband present Oliver with a typewriter for Christmas. They found it in the Ingram theater where Norma works…what the family doesn’t know is a ghost (the original owner of the typewriter) is attached to it. Charlie, the ghost, shows himself to Oliver and reveals that he needs Oliver to tell his love story with one big difference: a happy ending to the story so he can be with his beloved. Oliver and Charlie collaborate on Christmas Eve to write the romance novel to make Oliver’s dream come true and give Charlie the chance for everlasting love.
It is a tender, comical romantic story centered around the author, the ghost, and the Ingram Theater in 1924 when a beautiful ballerina, Katrina, and Charlie, employee of the theater meet and fall in love— a love that is forbidden by the theater owner, producer and director Roger Ingram.
